For many parents, the idea of sending their child to a tutor can be an overwhelming experience. Whom should you choose? How often do students need to attend? Is extra help really necessary? And, how much will this crucial program cost? Almost every child can benefit from tutoring - whether through personal mentoring or taking on specific academic challenges. And just as important most families can afford this program. Students can begin tutoring with a minimal $35.00 initial assessment fee, without hidden fees or requirements. | ![]() |
The KLD Youth Foundation is firmly committed to the empowerment of youth by inspiring them to develop their own unique potential. We provide the fundamental resources, caring adult role models, and mentors in a safe place to learn and grow during non-school hours. We aim to teach them marketable skills through effective education and provide an opportunity for young people to give back through community service. The future empowered one life at a time
The academic programs at the KLD Youth Foundation are intensive programs designed to help students (grades K - 12) improve their reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and foreign language skills. With no more than three students per instructor, our highly customized program assists students who:
Are below grade level in a particular area
Have an immediate need for progress in a specific subject
Can benefit from a structured academic environment
Need individual instruction to learn new skills and concepts
The center is manned by degreed teachers who are certified or experienced as well as volunteers and professionals that are equipped to help your student improve their academic skills.

This program features five main components:
Academic Assessment Testing: Your child's academic strengths will be assessed through diagnostic testing. We currently use the Brigance Diagnostic Test to determine the skills your student has mastered within his or her grade level and which skills need improvement. We tailor our curriculum to best meet your student's needs, and education level.

The customized plan helps instructors work with students to make certain that they learn or relearn foundational material that may have been missed, forgotten or improperly learned. The successes achieved will overcome feelings of failure and build self confidence for new challenges. Personalized Instruction: Your student works hand and hand with an instructor to ensure understanding of each lesson. |
Regular Feedback: Throughout the program, you'll receive updates on how your child is progressing.
Affordability: The heart of the Foundation is to offer low cost tutoring in order to empower students and families regardless of their socioeconomic status.
