KLD Services

KLD Youth Foundation's strives to change lives by equipping, enhancing and empower our youth through primary prevention services:

Primary Prevention and Crisis Intervention for Teens. Along with a full day of school for grades 3-12, our doors are open to help teens in the critical out-of-school time hours by providing an environment for them to develop healthy habits and good behavior through programs such as

Pillar Institute - Promoting Christian based academic and social growth through real world learning that endorses high-level, life long critical thinking skills. This 20,000+ sq ft school provides innovative education for grades 3-12 and will grow to include K-12 by 2008.

Tutoring & Mentoring Services - that include FCAT, GED & SAT Prep - Currently the KLD Youth Foundation provides affordable tutoring and mentoring for all ages with an emphasis on K - 12. We also aid adults interested in preparing for job advancement and placement. Next Youth Center - This 15,000 sq ft multi-function facility offers out-of-school-time primary prevention programs in a loud, safe, and exciting atmosphere offering teens an alternative to the choices they currently face. Young people can come in off the streets and 'hang-out' with games, activities, a café', concert stage and many other structured programs. KLD Gym - Full service gym offering over 8,000 sq ft of free weights, controlled free weights, cardio equipment, cardio classes, daycare, locker rooms with showers, as well as personal training.

Counseling Center - We offer counseling services to individuals, couples, and groups. Counseling services include: assessments, family counseling, workshops and presentations, substance abuse evaluations, and referrals to community and other resources. Our goal in each of these services is to improve the social and psychological functioning of participants by facilitating self-awareness, personal growth, and self-empowerment all through a biblical perspective.

Missions - KLD Youth Foundation has begun the Hands-on Bahamas project. It is an international mission to the Caribbean Islands joining several established ministries together with the vision to 'Paint a Town.' This group of volunteers is heeding the call of Isaiah 35 to strengthen weak hands. The Bahamian people live a hard life on the Islands because they are isolated from the mainland infrastructure. Virtually every resource must be shipped in via boat or plane causing the expense to become out of reach of most Bahamians. Through the support of KLD Youth Foundation, the partnership of the community and like-minded mission organizations, Hands-on Bahamas is now able to offer a means of supplying materials and labor to hurting communities throughout the Bahamas through painting, construction and ministry support. This ministry is using the hands and feet of the body of Christ to build a sure foundation in the homes and hearts of the needy.
