KLD Goals & Objectives
Goals:
• Continue to provide life-development services for at-risk students and families.
• Prepare for a central campus to expand services provided by KLD.
Objectives:
• Provide alternative schooling for 200-300 students.
• Provide daily out-of-school activities and family support for 100-200 families.
• Acquire and equip minimum 30,000-square-foot facility.
• Obtain at least one vehicle to transport students to activities.
• Cover operating expenses through donations, grants, and fundraisers.
• Obtain benefactor to donate property with at least 30 buildable acres.
• Develop a site plan and obtain approval and permits for the following:
• School
• Dormitory
• Administration building
• Indoor and outdoor activity facilities
2015 Campaign
Develop a central campus to provide comprehensive life-development programs and services for families and at-risk students and in Brevard County.
Objectives:
• Learning Center
• Classrooms for grades K-12
• Vocational training & technology center
• Social Center
• Learning lab
• Computer center
• Food court with restaurant & juice bar
• Internet café
• Arcade & video game room
• Gatheria
• Christian retail store
• Radio & TV studio
• Career Resource Center
• Cafeteria and culinary training center
• Auditorium
• Gymnasium & fitness center
• Sports and recreation areas & aquatic center
• Health & mental wellness clinic
• Daycare center
• Space for complementary service organizations
• Provide alternative schooling for 50 resident students and 150 non-resident students.
• Provide daily out-of-school activities and family support for 200-500 families.
• Obtain a fleet of vehicles to support the services provided.
• Cover operating expenses through donations, grants, and fundraisers.
Long-Term Goal (through 2020)
Objectives:
Acquire satellite facilities throughout Brevard County to provide life-development services for at-risk students and families county-wide.
• Purchase or lease up to 10 suitable buildings throughout Brevard County.
• Staff and develop programs for each facility.
• Cover operating expenses through donations, grants, and fundraisers.
