KLD Counseling

Through our Counseling Center we are able to offer Counseling and Crisis Intervention services by appointment and on an emergency basis.

Our Clinical (Social) Worker counsel from a clinical perspective, however, always applying Biblical principles and truths in the counseling process because we believe in the healing power of God's love. We offer counseling services to individuals, couples, and groups. Counseling services include: assessments, family counseling, workshops and presentations, substance abuse evaluations, and referrals to community and other resources. Our goal in each of these services is to improve the social and psychological functioning of participants by facilitating self-awareness, personal growth, and self-empowerment.

In search counseling capacity, Counselors use observation skills, interpersonal communication, and specifically designed assessment tools to identify strengths, and areas for growth. Counselors then partner with participants to develop a plan of action (POA) that includes specific interventions, which emphasize identified strengths and areas where growth is attainable. In all workshops, presentations, organized activities and programs we include Biblical content, prayer support, and encourage peer-to-peer accountability.

Providing these services to our community is critical to counteracting the serious consequences of certain social problems plaguing society today including: Domestic Violence, Substance Abuse, Teen Pregnancy, and Sexually Transmitted Diseases.
